The India–EU Strategic Agenda 2030 is a plan that tells us how India and the European Union can work together better. This plan is made to fit the changing world we live in. The India–EU Strategic Agenda 2030 wants India and the European Union to work together more in areas like security and sustainability and technology and relationships between people. The India–EU Strategic Agenda 2030 is trying to make the partnership between India and the European Union strong, for the future.
Peace, Security and Strategic Stability
The main idea of the Strategic Agenda is to work on peace and security. India and the European Union want to talk about keeping the seas safe, stopping terrorism protecting against cyber attacks and working together on defense. They have meetings and do naval exercises together to show that they really want to follow the rules that everyone agrees on, especially in the Indo-Pacific region. This is a deal for India and the European Union because they both care about peace and security.
Sustainable Development and Climate Action
Climate change and sustainability are really important to us. We want to work on things, like renewable energy, green finance and making sure we can adapt to the changing climate. We also want to make our cities more sustainable. Both sides want their climate goals to match up with the Paris Agreement. This means we will focus on switching to clean energy and growing in a way that does not hurt the environment. Climate change and sustainability are issues that we need to address.
Trade, Technology and Connectivity
Economic cooperation is about more than the usual business deals. It covers things like changing to digital making sure supplies keep coming, coming up with ideas and getting people connected.
The main things people are working on are things like intelligence, semiconductors and critical minerals. The goal of cooperation in these emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, semiconductors and critical minerals is to reduce the need for other countries to help us and make our economy stronger. Economic cooperation in these areas, like intelligence, semiconductors and critical minerals is really important.
Multilateralism and Global Governance
India and the European Union want to work with other countries to solve big problems. They will cooperate with each other in meetings on things, like keeping people healthy and safe helping countries develop and making sure international organizations are working well. India and the European Union think it is very important to have global governance structures in place. India and the European Union are committed to working with countries to make the world a better place.
People-to-People Ties
- We need to make connections between people stronger. This can be done through education and research. We also need to make it easy for people to move around and learn about each other’s culture.
- Making friends with people and working together is very important. When schools and universities work together people can understand each other better. Work together for a long time.
- The India–EU Strategic Agenda 2030 reflects a shift from transactional engagement to a long-term strategic partnership. By focusing on security, sustainability, technology, and global governance, the agenda seeks to position India–EU relations as a stabilising force in an increasingly uncertain world.
