Agile military formations allow a quick reaction to border threats, especially in the eastern frontier with China. The military formations promote controlled and technology-based reactions without escalating to a full-scale conflict. These formations improve deterrence and management of crises. With greater use of home-made military systems, digital warfare, and joint commands, there is a reduced dependence on foreign countries, which enhances autonomy in strategic decision-making. The military policy is in line with Act East and Indo-Pacific visions of the Indian government because it guards vital frontiers.
